Theatre Iridescence Presents Medea

Theatre Iridescence, a bilingual, multicultural theatre company, is pleased to announce open cast call auditions for their 2018 production, Medea. An adaptation of the Greek play by Euripides, Medea is a tale of love and revenge with themes that explore issues of race and gender. Basic audition information: 

Auditions will involve both single and group components, those who wish to audition are asked to attend one of the audition slots listed below. Please be sure to be in the waiting area on the 4th floor of Achtenon, ten minutes prior to the start of your audition slot.

Dates and Times:

Slot 1: November 4th (Sat) 16:00-18:00
Slot 2: November 4th (Sat) 19:00-21:00
Slot 3:November 5th (Sun) 13:00-15:00
Slot 4: November 5th (Sun) 15:30-17:30

What to prepare:

A short monologue (2-4 minutes, English or Japanese, ACTORS ONLY)
Dance/Athletic attire suitable for movement (ALL)
A list of your availability (Dec 2017-July 2018)

Its creative director is Aya Kawakami, a singer and actor with 30 years of experience on the stage. Alongside a team of seasoned experts, all well known in the Nagoya theatre scene and beyond, Theatre Iridescence aims not only to put forth innovative work but to develop and feature new talent. In this endeavor, Theatre Iridescence aims to create real educational opportunities to those who wish to develop their creative abilities whether it be on the stage or behind the scenes.
