Dine at Home

The Meat Guy – Fine Meats and Cheeses

As far as I know, the ONLY source of turducken in Nagoya is The Meat Guy. I was lucky enough to sample a turducken smoked by the master himself, TMG, and I can assure you that a duck wrapped in a chicken wrapped in a turkey is completely reasonable and tastes as fantastic as you would expect an affront to nature to be.  Oh yes, and he also carries a full selection of roasts, lamb, steaks, sausages, turkey, meat pies, cheeses, sauces, and uh, well everything but vegetables.

Foreign Buyers Club – “Food and Fun from Home”

The Foreign Buyers Club started a co-op in the late 1980s importing items their friends missed most; bagels, breakfast cereal a nd peanut butter. Now the Foreign Buyers Club is an icon of the foreign community in Japan.  Billed as “Food and Fun from home – direct to your door – anywhere in Japan;” this online international grocery store has been delivering the goods to the broader expat community in Japan since 1988.
